Ainge said he was listening to trades.

Do you expect them to say "Damn yeah man were really thinking about this 3 team deal"

I don't know if if the Celtics are bluffing or not but here's news from David Aldridge:

"C's source, pushing back on Rondo trade rumors: "Teams want him? That's great. He's not going anywhere."

No.

Pau is worth more than an athletic point guard who can't shoot at all.

I agree!! It's not like he's going to shut down D-Wade. The real issue is Pau's long contract, otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion.Luke, Blake, MWP and Pau's contracts were ridiculous. Not the per year amount but the number of years. Unless we can get a legit PF/Back up center we are screwed. Our size is one of the only advantages we have

I'm sure someone has mentioned this, but I don't want to read through the whole thread, but to be clear, we wouldn't be able to trade Pau for Rondo straight up. Pau's contract is too much bigger than Rondo's, so the Celts would have to give us another player or two.

But to answer the question, yes. Definitely try and make that trade.

Did you expect Doc to say anything else? He could have said he doesn't know but obviously he wants to back Rondo. And if Ainge really didn't wanna trade Rondo he would have straight out denied rumors and/or said Rondo is staying a Celtic. But he didn't.

Ooooo Jackie Mac.

Ummm.... This thread stays open for the simple fact it would be stupid for a GM to say they are definitely going to trade their young point guard.

Ainge came out and said today he wasn't trading Rondo. But that means nothing. If the right deal comes along, you don't think they would pull the trigger? C'mon.

Nothing is certain in terms of trades until the deadline.
