The word on the streets is that the Mavs may trade Lamar Odom to Phoenix for Steve Nash. That will get Odom closer to his home in LA.

Steve Nash's contract is expiring. Which means that his payroll will come off their books after this season. Even if they do not pick up Odom's option, they still have to pay 2 million dollars in a buyout (which will still count against there payroll - I MAY BE WRONG ABOUT THIS).

It'd save his legs and stamina to guard those 2's that he can guard at end game situations

Phoenix wanted LO. The GM said so after the season started. When he made that comment, I couldn't help but think it would've been great to flip him for Nash.

Of course, things were different then. Phoenix wasn't ready to trade Nash.

This is probably just a favor to Nash, if it happens, and isn't really based on a long-term desire to keep LO.

Watch Phoenix cut him, and then LO signs with the Clippers next year.

Last year's Odom would have value. Do the Mav's honestly think people aren't seeing how bad Odom is playing??

Wow, Odom having this bad of a year and his attitude being terrible and somehow or another the Suns may entertain that for a first ballot hall of famer in Steve Nash?!

If that's the case the Lakers need to make a call to Phoenix.
