What about this one:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7u3me9d

Golden State gets Pau Gasol and Dallas' first round pick + fillers if needed
Why: Jerry West LOVES Pau, and with a few young prospects in Curry, Thompson, Udoh and picks, they would be good going forward. Also, they would have about 10-15 million in cap space this offseason to sign an all-star caliber SF (Gerald Wallace or Wilson Chandler). Also, if they do this trade now, take out Curry for the season (anckle) and start to tank they could have a high draft pick as well.

Lakers get Monta Ellis and David Lee.
Why: We replace a big with another younger big, who is an excellent pick and roll player and rebounder. We also get a dynamic guard, who can score and take pressure off Kobe. Ellis have improved these past three seasons, and potentially could be a good distributer.

Ellis don't want to be a bench player

We make off like bandits, except that we still don't have a point guard. I don't like it.

Was Ellis Golden State's point guard before Curry got there?
