[last stand 2.0]

Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius released the debut album of WZRD today. its really not for everyone. i'm a big cudi fan and some of it was a little too cheesy i guess but the production of this album is on point.



The Dream The time Machine is my favorite song on the album. i think its so well done





Teleport 2 me jaime is an example where Cudi has moments of fantastic and then moments of just head scratcher lyrics



High off life is a perfect example of not a good showing on the album and by cudi's lyrics being cheesy.



from my view the production is just great. Cudi has a perfect voice for this type of music. he just needs to hire a writer or something because he just doesn't get it done with the lyrics consistently for this style of music. he gets a little bit cheesy and kind of tries to conform to old rock cliches when things go wrong.

this was first go around and when its perfected i think WZRD can really make a classic. just need to fix the lyrics. Dot Da Genius kills the production. i mean he puts together an elite display of production.

CuDi'a first two albums are cool. The first one is a classic. This sucks. And 808's is Ye's worst album.

I don't understand how anyone can only like one form of music.

I haven't listened to this album yet (I will when I get the chance) but from what I've heard, it's not very good.

Cudi is a better musician than a lot of the other big name hip-hop artists out there, but he's still a mediocre rapper in comparison.

He doesn't sell himself as a rapper. Not one of his albums is even a rap album in it's entirety.

It's not great overall. There are some really good tracks. Some ok ones. And a couple bad ones. I give him a pass a little though because it was his first go around with this

Definitely on a few songs it sounds like that. Though I don't see it as bored because this is a project he was really excited about. To me it's more likely that he sounds unsure of himself on the tracks. He probably doesn't have confidence in the sound yet.

Im gonna hold WZRDs second album to a much higher standard. This was kind of an experiment to see what sounds worked for cudi. That's why IMO some songs sound great and some songs don't sound good at all. I think he can build on songs like The Dream Time Machine, Love Hard, Teleport 2 Me and 1 or 2 others and make a great album now that he knows what works

I still haven't listened but one of my best friends said it was trash and he like Cudi
