They had the same record last season and fired their head coach, it needed to be done.

I knew it. The new GM didn't like the fact that he took control of the team after Al Davis died. He wasnt a fan of the Palmer trade as well thinking they gave up a lot.

i'm a Raider fan he made a lot of bad late game decisions this year so I'm happy as long as they find a good replacement.

This was Jackson's first year. 8 coaches in 10 years? The problem obviously lies elsewhere.
Jackson should have been given at least one more year.

I'll admit it's hasty but I never really like the hiring in the first place so maybe that's why I'm not upset.

lose their QB, lose their RB, 1 game away from making the playoffs, still finish 8-8...I'd say one more year was deserved...despite the way they finished.

Hue had to be fired because he made way too many stupid mistakes in the 2nd half of the season, gave up too much for Palmer, and he had problems with the players on the team. Management was also not too happy with the comments he made at the end of the season when he said he was going to take more control of the team this off-season.
This team should've made the playoffs even without Run-DMC.
A new GM should have the right to pick his own coach and players.
