Pau offensively was terrible, but defensively on Dwight he was great.

I'm not sure i'm buying that 'Pau shut down Dwight' thing. To me it doesn't matter that you have one good defensive game - or one game winner for that matter - it's about being consistent. Pau isn't.

I also think he struggles with his current role. He is easily our best player at this point, but I don't think he's capable of being a #1 option - perhaps not even a #2 option.

In fact, I think to maximize Pau's potential he needs a defensive-minded 4, a scorer like Kobe and a few 3s/D players. I'm not sure how effective he can be in this system, where he is a main scoring option and also the one who's supposed to hold down the fort in the paint.

Getting Kobe back and playing Pau alongside Hill, perhaps with Wesley Johnson at the 3, really will do wonders, I think.

Kaman needs to start getting more of those mid-range field goal attempts away from Pau.

Pau will be fine...as long as he's the second option.

Great defense on Dwight, terrible offensive output.

It's good to know he can still guard Dwight, sick or not.  Back in the day he'd have put 20 points on top of it but it was nice to see him give effort on one end till his legs were gone.

Having Jordan Hill out there seemed to help Pau. Takes some pressure off.

Pau started to heat up in the paint today. But he just can't seem to sustain this aggressiveness.

Finally started going to the basket during our run and helped it sustain.  Detroit had no answer when he took advantage of the open lanes

Pau has been in complete Beast Mode this year. I think it took about 5 games for him to figure out whos he can count on. IMO so far this season Pau has been playing like a Top 5 center in the NBA.

Guys get so excited about Pau over 1 game.  He will be back to the BS for the next 2-3 games.  Always happens.
