Really awesome defense from Metta last night, it will go under the radar because of people focusing on offense so much but neither Igoudala nor Ty Lawson could really get off last night and Metta was a big reason fir that.

I disagree. Gallinari ran past him at will. I think Dwight was much more of a reason for those guys not having great nights than anybody else.

Not very good defense. I saw Gallo beat him to the rim on some possessions. And once again his offense is terrible. So inconsistent, what's what I don't like about him.

He's surpassed my expectations on offense even with his struggles tonight.

But, he needs to be replaced as the on-the-ball defender. I thought having Dwight behind him would make him better, but he looks even worse that last year. He just doesn't have the foot speed to keep up.

Ariza without a doubt. If Ron had the mindset to go and out and give it his all every game, then him for sure. But honestly, I think Ron kinda feels like he already did his job for us which was to help us beat Boston and shut down Pierce. Now he seems like he's just on vacation every damn game. We need him more than ever CONSISTENTLY with Lamar gone.

This to be honest. Artest can Ball when he want to. He just dont put his mind into it.

Metta honestly has surpassed expectations on offense. He'll still have his bad games, but he's consistent to where he actually has good season numbers. That's more than what we can ask for from him based on how he played the last 2 seasons.

He's complete garbage now on defense though. Melo got everything he wanted so easily. It's been that way for players he's been defending all season. Ebanks did a better job on Melo than Metta did.

I'd like to see him mostly at PF. With the bigs on the roster and lack of wing players though, it's not possible right now.

Sorry for quoting myself.

His defense is just gone. I think his decline on that end is probably the single biggest problem of any single player on the team. The Lakers are relying on a now bad defensive player to be their defensive stopper.

It doesn't matter who the player is, he can't stay with his guy like he used to. He was already not very athletic when he came here. Now, he just has no chance when defending a quick wing player.

His defense is looking worse and worse. He has gotten better at the 3. But he should never dribble or try to penetrate ....it is terrible

And right when you say that he does a majority of his damage off the dribble this game

He should be playing at PF. He's a complete + on the floor when he doesn't have to guard wing players.

Ronron vs. Charlotte. He really did show that he can play the 4 and that he still is an elite defender. He shouldn't be shooting 18 shots though, but more around 10-12.

MWP stepped his came up since Kobe talked about him. I think it's a mental thing with him. Not saying he's crazy or anything....

You don't look to trade people that are performing consistently.

You look to trade people that are going through a rare flash of brilliance that you know isn't going to last.

Like Ebanks going 3 straight games scoring 15-18

THAT is when you start putting him on the table.

We've been TRYING to showcase Ebanks for that very reason but he just looks so terrible we can't afford to keep him out there long >_<

You act like most Gm's are dumb, no one is trading for Ebanks I am sure of that. No one trades for a player that had a "rare flash of brilliance".

How do you know we been trying to showcase Ebanks? We been trying to win games not showcase players, everyone in the league knows how good players are.

We have been, he just didn't show anything. Why do you think he played all of 3 minutes against the Bobcats and why Kobe is going to be the starting 3 on Saturday instead of him?

They are trying to trade Ebanks for picks anyway.

I don't know any teams that would want Ebanks and if we do get picks they would be 2nd round useless picks.

They are doing it to clear roster space to bring in a free agent(like Delonte) not for the picks themselves
