His offense has been bad for years, but I don't even have faith in his defense anymore.

Out of 8 games, his defense has been poor in 3 of them. What makes it even worse is that Batum is really the only good SF he has faced so far.

I honestly think he's close to having no value on the basketball court.

He needs to be traded ASAP for a SF that is young, athletic, and can shoot. There is no reason why he should be shooting more than Dwight in any game.

It's funny ya'll never use this to talk when he has a good game. It's the reverse of a player you want to hype up. never posting when they have a bad game and then posting praise after every good one. It's the reverse for players you don't like. Metta shoots 3/4 from 3. No posts. Metta has a bad shooting night, posts of "he needs to be traded" flood the thread.

Consistency fellas.

Because it's easier to look at the bigger picture. He has a lot more bad games than good games. That's easier to talk about than a good game once in awhile.

If he gets on a role, then it's noteworthy. Tell Metta World Peace to be consistent.

A good complete game from Metta. It was against one of the worst defensive teams in the league and Beasley has been having a horrible season so far, but I'll take it.

Like I said though, consistency.

i wish he was more consistent with these kind's of games

we'd be so much more difficult to beat if he could shoot 37% or above from 3 this year

Obviously, Metta World Peace is a lot better this year than last, but he should be a lot better when D'Antoni gets his system working.

Right now he is fifth in 3pt attempts in the league. This isn't ideal when your're only hitting .344 % of them.
Most of his misses come when he shoots off the dribble or when he shoots from above the break (hits only .30%).

In D'Antonis system the wings move to the corner, which is good for MWP who hits .42% of those this year. Also, MWP is really good when his feet are set and he takes his time. With Nash, Kobe, Howard and Pau on the floor i expect MWP to be WIDE open at all times.

Finally, MWP is solid on open drives. At 6'7'' and 260 he is like a cannon-ball running in there and with everybody else getting all the defensive attention, MWP should have a very solid year.

Metta is a beast when posting down low. I don't think there are many SF's that can outmustle him.

not only that, but he's one of the few SF's in the league LeBron can't outmuscle.

No, but there are many that can run circles around him.

And if they do, Dwight will be waiting at the rim for them. The most success people have had offensively against MWP this year has been off screens when no help came or off screens where Dwight would rotate over but Gasol wouldn't. Last game was a prime example, even despite that Harden who was averaging 30 points on the road only had 20 and shot below 50%.

He gonna get credit from you?

He gets credit for being better than I thought he would be on offense, but he's been horrible on D. Average to solid wing players have had great games against the Lakers this season. The one good one(Batum) lit him up.

Help defense needs to be better, but it's his job to shut down the best opposing wing player on the other team. That's what his main role is.

I gotta say, I think this may be a trend. He looks really good out there.

The only other thing I want to see out of him is to defend good young wing players, but it's not his fault the Lakers haven't played one in awhile. We'll see what he's got against Memphis and Rudy Gay in a few days.
