Ron played alright offensively and hit some big 3's but his defense was excellent all night. His defensive presence was sorely missed. Andre Miller and Gallo was shut down. I'm happy to have him back, especially since he is in incredible shape.

key for this win

key in the next series...he looks like he's close to the best shape of his career, he looks ready to go, between him on durant, and kobe on westbrook, i think this series is going to be a lot closer than people expect. let harden beat us, if he can

I agree, Artest is going to be one of the most important players against OKC. There is just one thing: Durant is NO Gallinari, and wont go 1-9 in any game. If Artest can make Durant shoot in the low 40's and Kobe can do the same with Westbrook, then we have a chance.

So much for artest being back not making that big of a difference  Knew his ability to guard the 1 to 4 in this series would come in handy. And that Galla handles move that he got away with on Barnes and Ebanks didn't work on Metta and he got stripped like I knew he would

As we can say once again, we dont win Game 7 without him. Artest looked agile and made it look so easy on D. Held Galinari to 1-9 shooting and Miller to 1-10 shooting.

We all know what he did to Durant in 2010. Knock on wood.

He had a good offensive game, but he needs to be replaced as the main defensive wing. He has no chance at guard players like Durant with his lack of quickness. Even Metta knows it. That's why he gave Durant so much space for his game winner.

metta shooting in offseason workout vids is scaring me. metta needs to be a somewhat deadly 3 point shooter this year for Nash to flourish with the Starting unit. He wont shoot 40% but he needs to shoot at least 35%, if he doesnt, teams will leave him open and nash's penetration will be less effective. Nash NEEDS Shooters!

Learn not to over-dribble. Know your limits. Nice threes, but I prefer you on the post using that strength, drawing fouls, taking advantage of mismatches.

For all the praise Metta has gotten so far, he's still not efficient enough as a role player. After the 2nd to last preseason game against the Clippers, he's shooting 39 percent from the field and 34% from 3 in the preseason. What's worse is that he still has games where he's completely awful. He was 4-14 and 2-8 from 3 tonight.

It's just preseason. But after Metta's struggles over the years, I want to see better from somebody who's in the best shape he's been in years. Hopefully he's better to begin the regular season.

Wow, he really improved.

I have nothing against him, but come on. His overall numbers have been terrible for a long period of time now. The horrible player is who he is now. His good games are the aberrations.

I honestly hope I'm wrong. I'm a Laker fan and I want to see everybody do well. But, I can only judge from what I see. And, I've seen a lot more bad than good from him.
