Solid game today, forced it at times but I like they worked it through the post for him after he missed some early ones and Kobe found him for good layups and post ups down the strech. And that left hand vice grip stopped some layups, mid range game was on point today.

judging from the stat sheet cuz i didn't watch the game...6-16 from the field and 0-6 from three???? another terrible shooting game idk why you like this guy so much. his terrible offensive game totally overrides whatever "good" defense he played out there.

Stopped right where I bolded. That's why I say people shouldn't quote stat sheets and never have watched the game.

He missed 4 wide open threes in the first quarter and after that operated mainly from the post and from the mid range(and went 6/12 after that), he also stopped a few easy layups and fast breaks and his scoring in the 4th when him and Kobe worked off each other sealed the game when he attacked from mid range.

Other than the one or two times he forced it after that it was a solid game.

That's why stats sheets don't tell everything.

Metta still shot 6-16 and 0-6 from 3. That's garbage offensive play no matter how you slice it. You can't be that horrible at any point in a game.

At least he played good defense today. Boozer was their best offensive option, and he took him out of the game. It was a good matchup for MWP. Boozer is small and isn't very quick either.

Thats why Metta can deal with 4s that like to post because strength for strength they have issue and Metta can bother them and is quicker than most other 4s. Held Boozer to 3-11 today, was happy to see.

We as a team held the Bulls to 34 percent shooting. Was a nice defensive effort.

Him using more shots than anyone isn't a good thing though.

Of course not, he shouldn't.

Remember Clarks stretch before his slump and Jamison too? Metta was only getting perhaps 8 shots a game and maybe 4 three pointers and was playing a controlled pace.

When Clark hit his wall and his minutes had to come down and rest and Jamison's in a little slump Metta's usage rate and shots went up. Understandable. But when Clark has it going and Jamison is doing well Metta gets less shots, plays more controlled and gets more assists. We got a nice stretch of games where Metta shot 48 percent because of that.

That's what I'd like to see more of.

What i'd like to see more is Metta making wide open shots or not missing wide open shots 4 consecutive times. Any of those two would be fine.

i'm glad he hasn't changed his offensive style just cos of what the stat sheet says. He hasn't played any differently before than he is playing now against the pacers and he's playing really well so far

19 and 7 with 2 steals and a nightmare defensively for David West and Paul George when he was on them.

World Peace, who was a monster on defense against both David West (4-of-13 shooting) and Paul George (6-of-20)

10-13 tonight from the field mostly from the post, only three 3s. Did well in the post with Clark and jamison and blake stretching the floor etc.

This team is hard to beat when MWP makes his shots....Unfortunately, that doesn't happen a lot. Maybe this stretch will be a good confidence boost. I just hope he stops driving to the hoop...

What ive kept saying rings true.

When Clark and Jamison are on, Metta stays in the post and doesn't take many threes and gets high efficiency from there.

When Clark and Jamison are terrible, Metta takes more threes and has the ball more to compensate.

Case in point, against theKingsM

Clark double double
Jamison 27 points
Metta 22 points only 3 3s and 10-13 from the post. 2-3 from three.

Phoenix

Jamison 3 points and no show
Clark No show lots of mental errors
Metta shoots 3 threes in the first quarter and goes 5-17 off a lot of stretch shots.

My point shall always remain. If we want Metta in the post where he's best, Jamison and Clark have to play well. If they no show, then Metta is gonna have to shoot more from the outside and stretch the floor to compensate.

Can't get any simpler than thatM

When Clark and Jamison play well Metta shoots maybe 3-4 threes.
When Clark and Jamison play bad he takes 7-10+ threes. You figure it out.

That mental brakedown at the end of Wizards game was inexcusable. He has nothing to give this team if he is shooting 10+ 3's and making bad decisions. Not once but multiple time a game is he making very very bad decisions and hurting the team more than  he is helping. I am always positive with an player on the roster but that move, only that offensive foul made me hate him as a player.
