The Indianapolis Colts have fired team vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, Chris, the Colts' general manager -- a decision that left franchise quarterback Peyton Manning "stunned."

Owner Jim Irsay announced the moves Monday, one day after the team finished the year 2-14 without Manning. Coach Jim Caldwell was retained, but Irsay said that evaluation was still ongoing.

Colts to pick Andrew Luck, sources say
By Chris Mortensen

With the stunning dismissal of Bill Polian, the architect of the Colts' 11 playoff appearances, uncertainties remain over Peyton Manning's health and Jim Caldwell's future as coach, but sources say one thing is certain: Colts owner Jim Irsay plans to take Andrew Luck with the draft's first-round pick.

Peyton's future must be really bleak because that team has much more pressing needs than at the QB position.

Well you never know What can happen especially with a neck injury so passing on the best QB prospect in years would be stupid

They have to rethink their strategy. They've had Peyton Manning since '98 and only have one superbowl to show for it. A superstar QB isn't needed in the NFL to win championships. However, Peyton covers up a lot of holes with that team and as good of a college QB Luck is, it's unlikely he'll be a Peyton Manning. No one really knows if Peyton will be healthy (except his doctors I guess) but if he isn't...what do you do with him and his near 30 mil paycheck?
