Anybody here have it? What's it like? How good is it? How comparable, if at all, is it to photoshop?

How often is it updated (newer version)?

I have it on Linux. It can do anything Photoshop can do, and due to it being opensource, there are thousands of plugins you can add onto it if you desire. It is actively developed, so you can find better versions of it in the future, or stay on a stable version of your choice.

Gimp is cool. It's free & very easy to use. I've never used PS.
