Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am a Laker fan from Wisconsin and I will be in LA for a couple days, and am going to go to the Lakers v. Rockets on Jan 3rd! Are there any things I need to know about attending a game at the Staples Center? Also, where would be an ideal place to park?

Thanks for the help guys, and Merry Christmas!

Yeah buddy your lucky. I only attend Laker games when they come down here in San Diego for a pre-season game. Here is some parking advice I found with a simple Google search.

- You can valet at McCormick & Schmick's and take their free shuttle to Staples for cheaper
- Park at the $6 lot that is immediately to your left as you exit the 110 S @ 9th.
You can either make the illegal left hand turn as you exit the FWY to park OR make a left at The Pantry followed by a FAST left about 30 yards later. You will then drive straight into the lot...it's just a quick walk to Staples

- 833 South Flower Street
Los Angeles, CA 90017
(between 8th and 9th street)

Parking is only 6 bucks from 4pm-4am

ONLY 10 MINUTE WALK FROM STAPLES CENTER.
Here's directions from parking garage to Staples Center
1. Head Southwest on S. Flower St toward W 9th St (295 ft)
2. Turn right at W 9th St (0.1 mi)
3. Turn left at S Figueroa St (0.4 mi)

Also, click here for other non-stadium parking.

Direct Directions to Staple Center

I advise you to arrive as early as possible. Try to be there 30. minutes before tip-off. That way you can buy stuff, take pictures, watch shoot-around, and, watch the introductions. Enjoy my friend. :beers:

For starters, when you finish parking, the best place to enter Staples Center is the valet side because that's the best place to spot celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Denzel or Leo Dicaprio and I highly suggest their chicken tenders to eat and for dessert my personal favorite is the caramel popcorn from popcornopolis, it's the best caramel popcorn in the world. Have fun.

Are you allowed to bring food (from outside of staples center) into the arena?

I'm assuming no, usually can't @ sporting events.
