i think we would tie for 3rd

TKain, I do agree with you obviously that playing Goudelock and Hill some could potentially help us, but as far as it being enough for us to have the pieces in place to make a serious for it, I couldn't disagree with you anymore on that and I'm sure I'm not alone. That's just crazy man. They could make us a little better (which is good), but not AS much as YOU seem to think. I mean wow really, that'll push us over the hump, instant championship contenders, c'mon man.

Somebody explain, if Lakers lose on Sunday and Clippers win, wouldn't we still have the 3rd spot because of the tie-breaker? Everybody keeps saying the Clippers would get the 3rd spot then? I'm confused by this stuff..

No. The clippers are currently 1/2 game behind us. However, they are playing the hornets tmrw at home, so it's most likely gonna be tied tmrw. So tomorrow we will still be ahead of them no matter what because of the tiebreaker. But if we lose sunday and they win, then they would be 1 game ahead of us.

Lakers are weak, that first game vs. san antonio was a fluke. The Spurs weren't making shots and beat themselves that time. But in reality, the Lakers are nowhere near San Antonio's level. And the Thunder's. Our bench is horrendous. Matt Barnes is alright, but that's it. Blake is garbage, McRoberts is garbage, Murphy sucks ass. Worst bench in the league. We have no bench, no shooters, no passion. Gasol is not as good as he was before. And Kobe doesn't drive the ball inside. It's not same team that they were a couple years ago. That's the reason the Lakers got pounded tonight. The furthest they'll make in the playoffs is the 2nd round, at the very best, and probably get swept again.

So it comes down to Sunday, if we lose and they win, who has the no. 3 spot? Us or them?

Lakers are 40-24, Clips are 39-24. We own the tie-breaker because we beat them in the season series, 2-1.

So, if the Clippers win on Sunday (vs. Hornets) and we lose (vs. Thunder), we are #4 until the rest of the games play out.

If at the end of the regular season we and the clippers finish with the same win-loss record, we get the #3 spot.

Both teams play 66 games so if it does come into play, it will at the end of the season, not Sunday.
