NEW ORLEANS -- Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will not play Monday night against the New Orleans Hornets, sitting out a second consecutive game with an inflamed left shin.
Longtime Lakers trainer Gary Vitti evaluated Bryant on Monday morning and said Bryant's condition is improving, but that the 16-year veteran still needs more rest.
Bryant wore a walking boot following shootaround Monday and chatted with teammate Ramon Sessions on the bench, but declined to speak to reporters.
Lakers coach Mike Brown said Devin Ebanks would "most likely" start in Bryant's place -- as Ebanks did in the Lakers' 125-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

With Jack out, and knowing the Lakers, I expect someone else on the Hornets to burn the Lakers tonight lol. I'm sure the Hornets will want to play harder knowing that their captain is out. The Lakers on the other hand...If Jack is out, there should be no reason for the Lakers to lose. This game shouldn't even that close to tell you the truth, but with the Lakers you never know.

For all you @0goudelock fans eager to see him play again, Mike Brown said even w/o Kobe, issue is finding small guard Goudelock can defend.

Mike Brown is a retard, he's been letting Ebanks rot away on the bench....
he plays worse defense than Blake and Goudelock. The only reason he's starting over Goudelock now is because of his size in comparison to matchup with other 2 guards.
Remember till now the position he was going after was 3, which Metta and Barnes play better than him, so maybe him playing the 2 will actually give Brown his bench 2. But it screws over Goudelock times two once Kobe comes back X_X

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often
