No way you combine MItchs comments, with playing Kapono 20 mins, Playing Mcroberts, playing Luke, PLaying Troy Murphy over Bynum and Gasol...
The Lakers are feeling out the talent they got.
I have to think that the rotation tonight was set out by LAKERS management...
Only because i hope Mike Brown did not get that stupid and coach like that on his own will...
Kapono needs to be cut in the nest 12-72 (or gone, he is a mistake)
Or it is on mike brown... (if you want to play Kapono, PLAY HIM WITH BYNUM out there)
I am just blown away by this whole thing

mc nuggets
Majesty hates pono
I think you've found your most inconsistent Laker, he is in there for one reason and one reason only, to hit threes. I can let his lack of defense slide because I credit players and discredit them on what they are supposed to be in the game for.
Kapono is there just to hit threes and nothing else, when he can't do that, its time for him to go. I'd rather call up Gerald Green and send Kapono to the D-league if I had a choice.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Sad thing is, Kapono hit two threes in preseason, and Gerald Green made one mistake. So the Lakers kept Kapono and sent Green to the D-league. THIS was a move Mike Brown was AGAINST and said himself he didn't think the Lakers gave a fair look at Green.
And now look, Green is MVP of the D-league this year playing awesomely and Kapono is....what he is. They should have listened to Mike Brown.

he gets no min hes a one dimentional player gets a 3 from time to time nothing big hes not the most incosostent metta with 2 points? in like 30 min of play
Metta isn't in for offense he's in for defense, and tonight he didn't play that as well but more often than not he does.
Kapono has one dimension, that he sucks at this year, that is what I consider the most inconsistent because he is SUPPOSED to be a three point shooter, and he can't do that, so he is the most inconsistent because of what is expected of him.

I think its a possibility, they had better before another team scouts and picks him up, cause he is beasting right now and every time I see a D-league game and watch him beat someone in the post, shake somebody or do a highlight reel dunk.. and then I see Kapono playing a game like this I shake my head.
There's actually a lot of guys Brown liked that we had in training camp that he felt Management didn't take a good enough look at, Gerald Green was one of them and he was 100% right about him. If they cut Kapono they should bring in Green in my opinion.

It is CRAZY when a player who averaged 20 ppg a couple years ago, is LUCKY to get more then one made shot a game...
There is SO much talent on this team, and yet, there is players getting mins that have no business getting mins, or even being in the NBA!

Kobe just put Lakers management on point with postgame statements to trade Pau Gasol or say they're not going to trade him.
Kobe said he'd prefer Lakers don't trade Pau but said a decision needs to be made for Gasol to put his "whole heart" into game.
Kobe called Pau "consummate professional" but said: "If your head's on the chopping block, it's hard to put all of yourself into the game."
