I wouldn't like a 4-4 start to the season, honestly I can't see this team winning on the road in Portland. Their season is a success if they beat the Lakers twice.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Houston was a preseason game this will be a real game. How will Kobe play? Will Bynum continue his MVP like play of the last 3 games? Will Gasol hold his own with Aldridge?

Good test for the Lakers and very interested how each responds.
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

Last couple of years we've split in Portland so I think we'll win tommorow.

The Rose Garden used to be a place that LA could never win. These past seasons, they have had some success. Portland is a deep team and I expect it to be a close game unless the Lakers turn the ball over like crazy.

Always tough, but this would be an excellent first road win if we can get it

Big test for Bynum and our team. They're fast, athletic, have shooters, quick point guard and good rebounders

We sucked under Phil Jackson in Portland, so let's see if Mike Brown has the magic to turn it around
