It looks like Howard and CP3 is going to drag on, so instead of waiting for perhaps nothing, i think Mitch should start adding pieces before they're gone.

A few cheap players, that really could help - even if the big-time guys get here.

Troy Murhpy, Back-up PF, who can space the floor. Should be quite cheap.

Craig Smith: Big, strong PF. Effecient, cheap.

Kyrylo Fesenko: Huge back-up center, According to Hollinger he is a VERY good defensive player.

Gilbert Arenas: Crazy-man / gunslinger. Still has value and could play minutes behind Kobe or whoever is at the 1.

Any other ideas?

To add

Michael Redd could be a nice backup to Kobe.

Kirilenko to replace Odom... not sure how much it'll cost but I heard he wants to play in a big market.

Carl Landry may be too expensive

Baron Davis if waived....... (reports of back issues)

Allen Iverson, just for fun.. ha.

Well, Redd would be awesome.
Kirilenko and Landry both wants huge contracts, like 3 years / 25-million or something insane like that.
Baron Davis: My bet is that he is bluffing and feeling just fine, he just want to be amnestied ASAP, so he can join either the Knicks, Heat or Lakers.
Iverson: Id take him at the Vets minimum. He could play 15 minutes behind Kobe...
