Maybe you should just edit the title and make it the 2011-2012 NBA random thoughts thread

Cool, just did it. Thanks. Should I leave it as is titled or change it to just 2011-2012 NBA Random Thread instead of Thoughts as well? OR even Official NBA Random Thoughts Thread or Official NBA Random Thread or Official 2011-2012 NBA Random Thoughts Thread or Official 2011-2012 NBA Random Thread? lol

MOD/S, can this please be stickied like the old one?

Anyway, some new faces:

Minnesota's roster is not looking too bad and with a great coach like Adelman I can easily see them being one of the most improved teams this season. Also, the fact that they have so much youth will undoubtedly help them through the rigorous scheduling of this season and all the many back to backs and what not. An advantage perhaps over a lot of older teams.

Kahn will make sure the Wolves fail. It is what he does best.

Rubio probably won't live up to the hype (at least not in the first year that's for sure), but that being said, I still expect him to be quite an exciting player with the flair that he has in his game and expect to see a lot of highlights as well throughout the year. Lots of sick passes.

I heard the Knicks are going after Jamal Crawford and Barrea, if they get em the Knicks have a legit squad and can actually make a run at the title with some improved D. As of right now they have the best front court in basketball with Melo-Amare-Chandler.

I have a feeling someone will overpay for JJ Barea.

I agree. I wouldn't gamble on the kid, seems like he's just a great bench player.

Growing up I always hated the Knicks now that they two of my top 5 favorite players in Amare and Melo their like my 2nd fav team never thought this would happen.

I've always liked the Knicks. I hope one day their will be a Lakers/Knicks finals matchup... That'd be epic.

Outside of the Lakers looking like they'll have an average season I'm so [expletive]ing excited for this season. I'm recording every game on Christmas and watching every second of every one.

I want this so bad with the Lakers winning in NY with me there celebrating, idc what ticket prices are if the Lakers & Knicks meet in the finals with my 3 fav players on the court I'm going.

I actually think the Knicks can make a deep run this year I think their better than Boston now and can push Mia and Chi in a series

Yeah I agree. I think they'd beat Boston in a series right now, but probably not Chicago and Miami. I love that Tyson Chandler pick up for em though... They just need a good solid PG that's a play maker and they're set. I would've kept Billups instead of Bibby though.

They had to give up Billups to pick up Chandler

Oh yeah.

But Bibby as they're PG they'll probably lose in 6 games to the Bulls or Heat.

honestly, if we zone out of the dwight howard trade mode for just a minute...we can make so many other effective trades that could help is in the semi-long run at least

i really hope mitch gets SOMETHING done soon, im not even crazy about howard anymore..i just need something other than kapono

edit: in other words, im having a [expletive]ing blast on espn trade machine right now....+8 wins, +12 wins...oh man
