Good pickup. Guy can shoot the lights out, he's a defensive liability so we can't have him out there more than 15-20 minutes.

As I said on FB...bad signing. I know many want a shooter, but Kapono is a massive liability on the defensive end, and he's not exactly shooting the ball very well anymore. In addition to that, he has never scored enough to make up for his lack of defense, and above all this, we drafted arguably the best three-point shooter in the league in Andrew Goudelock (higher percentage than Fredette, more makes, three-point contest winner), someone that is younger and has a better overall game at this point. I believe it's a minimum salary, though, but still...

We needed to add some shooters period, we have too many guys who are offensive liabilitys. Most shooters are 1 dimensional. He won't get much playing time anyway.

Most shooters are one-dimensional, that's true, but at least there are some that can actually run up and down the court, and have some sort of lateral quickness, or have at least a hint of defensive IQ.

We're getting a guy that shoots the ball (and not even that well anymore), and does everything else bad.

I'm assuming you guys didn't see just how flat his shot was in Philly, and part of his last season in Toronto. He struggled shooting over 43% from the floor in those last three seasons, not even sure if he has played a full season of 82 games in the last two combined seasons.

So many better options out there, but we're destined to have another bad Walton-like signing sometime soon. Glad this won't cost the MLE.

the 3pt champion? How dare they! I hope Stern can kill this deal because its not fair that the Lakers get a 3 point shooter and a Dan Gilbert get some guy off the street!

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

this is mitch's only flaw, he subscribes to phils way of thinking that slow thinkers should fill up the team
