At this point since his first choice is no longer a viable option, Dwight need to take a realistic look at what team would be the best fit for him from those that can actually get him. Clearly its the Lakers, looking at it from all angles, financially for him to giving him the best chance to win a title quickly; which is what would help him the most in rebuilding his image as we've seen with Lebron.

My guess is that Dwight has finally come to his senses and figured this out and let orlando know that L.A. is his preferred destination while at the same time not announcing it publicly so that Orlando in not screwed in the process; In return Orlando is trying to get him to L.A. and using every other team out there as leverage to get the most they can out of it. This is why every rumor out there has the Lakers involved. The Lakers will get Dwight.

Lol we're not moving pau might as well give it up man

I agree in the sense that we will most likely not move Pau. I think he'll flourish with Nash (especially in the pick and roll). However, I still think that if somebody offers the right package, the Lakers will be willing to make an exception. I just don't think anybody is willing to offer enough.

My prediction, Mitch thinks that pairing Pau with Nash will make Pau look like 2009 Pau. If so, his trade value will be much higher next offseason or at the deadline.

Pick&Roll with Nash&Dwight would be unstoppable.

Probably didn't do well in his interview cause he let it be known he would wanna' trade Dwight Howard almost immediately for Andrew Bynum.

The problem is the longer they wait the worst the offers will actually get. If they want to wait until then teams know that they have to trade him or else they get nothing, so actually the offers would be worst. They are in controll right now yes, but if they wait until closer to the dead line they will find their heads spinning to get a good deal when teams know they can get Howard cheaper since they know the Magic have to get rid of him.

Not necessarily and Denver with the Melo trade is an example.
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

Knicks had a guarantee that Melo was staying there Long term though. No such team has that with Dwight. If anything, offers will get worse as they get closer tithe trade deadline.

Actually, I said before that Brian Shaw should remove himself from the coaching position because he will enter the team with turmoil and uncertainty. I do hope he gets a coaching gig.

That is true. I don't see the offers getting worse though, but I still think they have a couple of months to try to get a better deal.
