Again, 2013 draft is garbage. Bynum is and will be better than whoever the first overall pick is. Cavs would be dumb to pass up the opportunity to pair Kyrie with Bynum.

Instead of "Do it Mitch" , "Do it Jim!"

@LakersReporter: Kupchak's currently chatting w/Jim Buss in stands; last time we talked to Mitch, he credited Buss for really pushing the need to call Nash.

Both contracts offered to Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik are backloaded, if I recall correctly, so even if Chicago and New York decide not to match, the Rockets will still be able to get Dwight Howard. They are sitting on a $33 million payroll right now, I believe, and both of those contracts above combine to around $30 million in the final season (so you're not looking at TOO much for the first two years).

Houston knew what they were doing. The idea is to pair Howard up with Lin, Motiejunas, and possibly one of their three rookies...then have Asik backing up Howard, just in case he's not as healthy starting the season.

Orlando is being really weird, too. It's almost like they tricked the Rockets into slapping Luis Scola with the amnesty, in hopes to land him with a bid and then deal Howard elsewhere? Or maybe Houston and Orlando had that plan all along, so the Magic could have a cheaper Scola with other assets?

Too many different scenarios right now...and way too hard to read what Orlando really wants. Houston seems desperate, though.

LA has to get in there and pull something off, ASAP.

Can the Magic even bid on Scola? With all of their [expletive]ty contracts I thought they'd be over the cap.

I read a report today saying like 5 teams interested in Scola. Need to bid 3yrs / $10mil + minimum
