I do think that this touch hologram stuff is the future. But you're right, we're definitely not moving away from the common computer in our lifetime.as a computer programmer, i HIGHLY doubt desktops/laptops will ever go away
Yeah.

That's a big step, saying monitors will be obsolete (in the article, it says it could be five years).
Why won't it happen?
Well, let's just say I coded TLN's skin on my hand or on a wall...see how fun that is. And even worse, I'd love to see Kam use Photoshop. Can't say a fingertip is accurate enough to crop out backgrounds from pictures, let alone seeing a machine like this display HD colors and graphics.

Nothing beats a physical keyboard/control. How would you be able to type 70 wmp on a virtual keyboard? Unless you're just fingering away & they device knows what you're imputing. I still have to take my iPod touch out of my pocket to change tracks. The physical clickwheel was more desirable when you don't have to look at the device. I say the next big step is not voice but a device that could read what you're thinking & translate it to another device (phone, music player, computer, etc.) and you control it that way.

This could work better projecting off some type of headset. Where you look, the screen shows there.

you are all forgetting that cybertronics will be real. Screens with HD lenses and aps will be installed into our eyes. You think Laser Eye Surgery was created just to correct peoples vision. They have plans ya know. So you wont need a screen because you will see everything into your eye's toggle frame. And then you will even be able to project the image from your eyes onto the wall for others to see just like this op video shows. Say Im full of sheeet....but remember I told you it would happen when your on the way to the Apple store to get your iEye installed.
