21,619 points total. 25 per game career.

3rd in active scorers.

He should be 17th by the end of this season.

Well it's cuz he started off slowly, not averaging too much. He's "only" averaging 25ppg (11th all time)... after his first 3 seasons, starting with the 99-00 title season he's averaging 28.3ppg.

Currently Kobe is 3rd in active scoring (total pts) behind Shaq - 11th all time, and AI - 20th all time.
He's 4th in active ppg behind AI (3rd), LEBRON (5th), and Shaq (10th)

Kobe would have a much higher PPG and more career points if he would have been given more playing time his first 4 seasons.

Kobe is now 20th all time, gonna be 19th very very soon. He is still on pace to finish at 17th this year, and will do so.

Just checked, he will definitely finish 3rd all time AT WORST (barring a career ending injury of course). If after this year he played 6 more years at 20ppg, he would be 3rd all time in scoring, so I'd say he should be there. At best of course, he can be 1st all time after it's all said and done. Damn baby.

Shaq will end up 5th after he retires, and move down to 6th when Kobe retires. Talk about a great scoring duo. I'm assuming AI won't suddenly start scoring like crazy again. And of course Lebron will be up there when he's done (3rd in ppg all time right now).

Realistically after this season, Kobe will be 12th in scoring, even better if he scores more than he did this past season.

probably not. Because this is what's going to happen: Lebron will try to be too much like kobe and never pass to his teammates.
