Recently, an article propose a Laker deal involving the Hawks and Dwight Howard:

Lakers get Howard, Hinrich and Duhon
Hawks get Odom, Steve Blake and Daniel Orton
Orlando get Josh Smith and Bynum

Which of the teams would do it?
What do you guys think?

Bull [expletive]. The only player I like in that deal for us is Howard. Hinrich is getting old. He's not a long term solution at point guard. Not to mention adding Duhon would create a glut for us at point guard.

Don't like it for the Hawks. It wouldn't make them better, and they wouldn't want Steve Blake if they are trying to get cap space.

I don't see the need to get two guards. I like Hinrich, but not Duhon.

The Hawks get hammered in this trade, too. Daniel Orton?

I don't think it is that bad.

Bynum-Smith is just about as good a deal as Orlando is going to get.

For the Lakers, I would trade Howard and Hinrich for Bynum and Odom any day of the week. With a solid use of the MLE and a couple of good minimum-salary signings, the Lakers could be awesome.

For the Hawks, they save 10+ million, while getting rid of Hinrich and Smith, who isn't part of their future plans and have been trying to move.

Orton and Duhon are just for matching salaries.
