Obviously 1080P is an awesome resolution, and looks great on most good TV's, but I'm wondering about resolutions greater than that. I've seen a few computer monitors with greater resolution than 1080P, and they are pretty amazing. I think that, at the very least, the greater res. would benefit larger screens.
Do you think we'll see TV's with higher resolutions than 1080P?

Most definitely, but TV's will probably never have the capabilities and limits that our eyes have though.

Imagine Apple creating a 55" retina display tv with resolution of 15360x10240 dpi. Where you can literally see a rock of sand on the beach.

I think 1440p is next as far as resolutions go. But it'll be a while before we see it TV's/movies/games, etc. It's still early in the process.
