Newton had a great game and on the road. But honestly it was the cardinals D and they blitz'd all game leaving Steve smith and the rest on one on one coverage.

We'll see what happens next

Brady has so many options it's funny. People so quick to call him the greatest right now when he's had legitimate weapons who stay stars or semi-great players when they leave or have a different QB (when he was hurt).

I use to consider Brady to be alone at the top but not anymore.

QBs like Manning, Rodgers, Rivers, and Brees are up there with him.

Same here. Rivers gets overlooked so much since his team has been horrible. Manning took dudes like Austin Collie, Garçon, etc and made them look good. Rodgers had so much pressure following up a legend especially how everything went down and shut everyone up.

brady didn't really have any weapons until moss and welker came along. Guess what? Those two don't have any championships.

Brady was winning BEFORE he got weapons.

Really, only Manning belongs in that conversation. I can't even say that Brees is up there.

What changes everything is seeing what Brady did with one of the best receivers of all-time. It wasn't just your average dominant duo, it was much more than that, and it was the team that collapsed around them that prevented them from winning it all. I'm talking 50 passing TD's, almost half to Moss (two different NFL records).

Also, right now, there is no QB that uses TE's better than Brady, and to be honest, I don't think I've seen a QB that does it better since I started watching football in 90-91 or so.

Tom has been ruthless with or without help. Manning struggled last season. It's those two that are on top of the league, though...and unfortunately, Manning probably won't play this season. It's two of the best QB's of all-time, and really, I wouldn't be surprised to see anyone trying to put them in a top five, at least Brady.

Deon Branch & Troy Brown aren't weapons during his super bowls? Corey Dillon wasn't a weapon? We had Edge who left and since then have had little to no running game, everyone knows we are going to pass 9-10 times and we still win when Manning is out there.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Brady just discussions should be a lot more similar between the two than they are.

Dallas Clark is a pro bowler because of how great Manning uses him. Peyton struggled last year but was dealing with if I remember right 2 of the usual starting RW's getting injured, the line being banged up & his neck issue.

And how does Deion Branch and Troy Brown stack up to the likes of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne?

Deion Branch is not a true number one WR. For one thing, he's too small and another thing is he's never had a 1000 yd season, never made the pro bowl iirc. Troy Brown? He made ONE pro bowl and had only ONE 1000 yd season.

Indy could run the ball but they don't want to. They want to throw the ball...they have Peyton so thats what they wanna do. And who can blame them when you have 18 under center?

Marvin Harrison is one of the greatest WRs of all time. 8 straight seasons of 1000+ yds? And 4 straight years of 100+ receptions? That's big time. And then Reggie Wayne? Seven straight years of 1000+ yds receiving? Dude has HOF written all over him.

Brady has NEVER had that kind of production at wide-out UNTIL Randy/Welker came along.

Keep an eye on Aaron Rodgers...he's about to run [expletive] now at the QB position. He has the intellect, the arm strength, and accuracy to be the best at his position. Oh, and he's only 27 years old.

Brady/Manning have always been the top two at their positions but there are two "young guns" nipping at their heels right now and they go by the names of Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers.

When I speak of "at the top", I'm talking elite status. IMO, there are 5 elite QBs right now: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, and Brees.

Smith is so wide open and the other receivers are beating all the secondary. Green Bay D overrated? Or Newton underrated coming in to the season?
