Lakers get Robin Lopez, Michel Pietrus and Hakim Warrick.
Suns get Lamar Odom and Steve Blake.

In this trade the Lakers get a real back-up C in Lopez, a real back-up PF in Hakim Warrick and a real back-up wing in Pietrus, while getting rid of Blakes contract and Odom's distractions. They get a four-man rotation up front: Bynum-Gasol-Lopez-Warrick, and a good back-up at the 2. Pietrus is a 3pt shooter and a defender, which we need. Lopez provides defense, and Warrick provides offense.

Suns get a real starting PF in Odom and a back-up PG in Steve Blake. They would be able to re-sign Arron Brooks, as the PG of the future, and trade Steve Nash while he still has value. Also, Odom would be a nice fit next to Brooks, who isn't a "true" PG.

What do you think?

Don't like it for the Lakers.

Odom is far and away the best single player in the deal. The 3 man C/PF rotation is fine if nobody gets injured. It would be better to just get a C that doesn't need to play, but can step in when somebody gets hurt.

Pietrus is an upgrade, but he's very inconsistent and not worth giving up Lamar for.

Yeah, we're giving away the best player in the deal. We already have a logjam at the small forward position anyway and I don't like the idea of getting/taking on Warrick's contract either.
