We let Coby Karl play double digit minutes.
Obviously nothing.

IDK what's the freak about this year,
maybe b/c people thought once we automatically inserted Bynum
we were NEVER gonna lose.
I just wanna have a good solid rotation by the season opener.

Phil HATES the preseason... i'm not weighing any success on how it turns out, however, it is important to me... for personal reasons. I love seeing all of the scrubs getting good PT. We'll have 82 games to see the starting line-up and the bench mob. I like seeing the scrub mob. I like watching D.J. get big minutes. I like watching Coby Karl miss EVERY single shot he takes. I like watching Sun Yue out there confused as hell.
its very important the defensive activity isnt there either their not coaching it or they just cant play defense!! THE LAKERS must play DEFENSE if they going to do better then last year

I'm reserving judgment for the first 10 or so games of the regular season, because I think that'll tell more about what specific areas and work the Lakers need to focus on. Bynum and Gasol need their time to get co-ordinated in the game, which only happens with time.
Pre-season is fun because it's Lakers basketball, but I'm not too concerned with it.

Real GM breakdown of pre-season invalidity
The pre-season is to try out the end of the bench, get guys' legs back under them and just get back in the NBA mindset - that's it.
There's no bearing on the regular season at all. The 3-peat Lakers never had a winning pre-season record and the 72-10 Bulls also had a weak showing in the pre-season.
How anyone can put validity into games where guys like Brandon Heath play equal minutes to Kobe is beyond me.
Relax - enjoy not caring about the score while we can.

"with the exception of the Miami Heat , all of the teams who have won an NBA Championship (Lakers, Spurs, Pistons) in this time frame all show little and/or a negative correlation with respect to preseason and regular season record."

the last line is so true
lets enjoy watching kobe, gasol, bynum and the rest and not caring about the outcome of the game so much as them being available for the next game
because in about 2 1/2 weeks comes stomach turning, nail biting, celebration and/or depressing laker basketball
the regular season
one in which for the first time in a long time we are actually supposed to do something and have expectations
no more i hope kobe dominates the NBA and we make some noise
now its vintage laker basketball lets get that title back out of boston and back to LA
