I hope the critics and voters don't take his decent and best supporting cast for years to take him out of the racing oval.

I believe, he's still the best out there. An MVP for the season, another similar reward in the Finals, and most important, the coveted title would instantly catapult Kobe into one of the greatest winners of his own era. And he is yet to prove it. :vomit:

I don't think he has a chance in hell of winning it.

He had 3 straight MVP season and he only got 1.

He won't win the MVP now, there's no chance of it. Dwight, CP3 or LeBron will get it.

^... I agree; however, if [IF] we manage to get a 10 game advantage over the Hornets, Cavs, etc., during the regular season, I don't see how you don't give it to Kobe.

the lakers need him spurts in the second half w numbers like 26/7/6 overall and 48-52% fgs with less fga and he has a decent chance
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Im Sure Kobe Feels The Same Way

In order for him to win it the Lakers would have to be dominating the hell out of the league, on top of Kobe sustaining his current level of playing. Even then I think they'd give it over to CP3 or LeBron just because they're more marketable in the league's eyes.

If he's the Closer and the team wins 60+ games, Kobe will be the MVP.

If he beats the other runner-ups in head-to-heads, he will win MVP.

KG didn't win it last year because he wasn't the best offensive player on his team.
CP3 didn't win it because the Lakers finished 1st in the West AND beat them head-to-head late in the season.

As long as LAL, Cavs and Hornets are in the top 5 in their Conference thru 62, the last20 games will provide most of the fuel for any of these players MVP candidacy.

I don't think he'll get it b/c they'll say he has too much help.

The funny thing about that is, they say you have to be on a top team to win it as well. Is it possible to be on a top team and the best player on the team not have a lot of help? I mean, really, is it?

he will get it w/ help if he outshines every other individual on the team. i think kobe has a great chance to get it

the only way he gets it is if the team does something ridiculous in the regular season

70+ games

otherwise its safe to say with posey if healthy chris paul is a lock to win the award and deservedly so because that is a hell of a team right there and chris paul will most likely average 25ppg 12apg 2spg

kobes my guy but if the hornets are healthy and the lakers dont go bonkers and win 70+ games chris paul deserves it

great guy, has all the stats, and if healthy his team with posey has 60 wins written all over them

they scare the living daylights out of me
