Despite losing in the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat are the consensus favorites around Las Vegas to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy in 2012.

The other top teams, according to the biggest sports-books, are the LA Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks, the Chicago Bulls and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Not really a surprise whatsoever, even if they're still gonna be subject to many jokes next season.

If the Lakers pull off the improbable and get CP3 and Howard the Lakers will sweep the Heat in the Finals. I will bet Las Vegas changes its odd if we do pull the improbable

Las Vegas doesn't change odds based on off-season moves, they move odds based on the public opinion (public bets). If many people put money on the Lakers and not the Heat, the Lakers odds would increase (smaller payout).

It's going to be REALLY interesting to see how the Heat deal with adversity next season. It is very tough to make it back to the finals. Not even the experienced, veteran celtics made it back in '09.

um Boston can't beat them anymore, too old. Chicago doesn't have enough offense, Orlando is full of F ups, NY might have a chance if they add depth to their starting 5. In the West, the Lakers are getting up there in age (we will be back though, had to say that lol), Spurs are done, and obviously the only team that should be 2nd is Dallas but their team is getting much older. So in a nut shell, Miami is the favorites and its not even close.

Miami are the favorites to come out of the East...sure. Be interesting to see what develops in the offseason though.

In the West, Dallas has Miami's number obviously and if we can make some moves here and there then we can beat Miami too.

Ok. But I think Lebron's [expletive] is still going to be run by the mafia.

If we get Howard and Felton, Heat can forget about it
