I think Mario Chalmers would be a great pick-up for the lakers this summer, and we wouldnt even have to trade one of our "core" pieces. He played great throughout the playoffs and even though he at times passes the ball poorly, I thought in the finals he was creating just as many shots as Lebron or Dwade. His plus-minus was the best on the Miami team and he led them with 32 three pointers. He is a knock down shooter and someone who can facilitate an offense, and I think he could make big strides with coaching from fisher and kobe. He only made 850,000 last year, and is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer. Is there any chance a team could lure him away from the big 3 in Miami by offering him more money? He has said, "he would like to stay in Miami", but you never know if money is thrown his way, maybe he could change his mind...

Miami is not going to get rid of him. They already offered him an extension.

all they offered was a qualifying offer which gives them the right to match any other offer he may receive from other teams. but if another team offers him more money, which the heat cant match, since they invested so much money in 3 players, he may just take it

It's always tricky trying to sign a restricted free agent. My guess is that it'll take a lot to pry him away from the Heat because I think they plan on starting him in the future. I think a good portion of the MLE might be enough to pry him away, but you never know. You only get one shot because he stays with the Heat automatically if they chose to match the offer.

No thanks, I couldn't stomach watching him celebrate like he won a damn championship every time he makes a shot a whole season. Same goes for Deshawn Stevenson.
