Lakers Blog :Andrew Bynum showed up at training camp sporting bigger biceps and in overall better shape. No wonder considering his offseason workouts.

But all that running (and bowling) hasn’t made him more aggressive. Several times in practice Wednesday, he got the ball down low and didn’t assert himself. He also failed to block any shots in Tuesday’s exhibition. Both he and Coach Phil Jackson said that will come.

“We want him to be a passer in certain situations because he’s a really good passer,” Jackson said. “He can see over the defense, and if he’s over in the lane, guys who are cutters should be looked at first. Then he should activate the ball. If he catches it in the lane, obviously he’s got to go.”

Yeah, being muscular and buff doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to use it. Kwame is a great example of that.

Hopefully when he gets more comfortable he'll be a defensive beast.
