Lakers Trade Odom, Artest, Walton to New Orleans for Chris Paul and Trevor Ariza.
Lakers Trade Gasol to Orlando straight up For Dwight Howard.

Lakers starting 5 is

PG-CHRIS PAUL
SG-KOBE BRYANT
SF TREVOR ARIZA
PF-DWIGHT HOWARD(STARTED CAREER AS A PF)
C-ANDREW BYNUM

GREAT LOW POST PRESENCE AND TOUGHNESS, DWIGHT DPOY, BYNUM WILL JUST BEAT PEOPLE UP, HE TURNED FROM BEING SUSPECT TO BEING A STRAIGHT GOON DOWN LOW. SPURS TWIN TOWERS ON ROIDS, YOU ARE NOT SCORING DOWN LOW.

WING DEFENDERS, KOBE AND ARIZA (HOME TOWN HERO) REALLY MISS THAT GUY, ALTHOUGH I LOVED RON IN GAME 7 LAST YEAR.

PG-CHRIS PAUL- NUFF SAID.

It works in Trade Machine but neither Orlando or New Orleans would agree to that deal. Those players they get in return are not equal value for Chris Paul or Dwight Howard

Regardless of how he played in the playoffs, Gasol is a top 5 Big Man. Orlando knows Dwight is gone, plus their salaries are close. It makes sense.

New Orleans is in the same boat, except they are a franchise with no owner, it is a wasteland down there; good players don't want to be there. Chris Paul is gone, Ron Artest and Odom will bring a veteran presence inside that locker room but they will both leave as soon as they can. Plus if you throw in Luke Walton's terrible contract, the numbers match up.

Then Orlando will be like, if the Lakers think he's a top 5 big man, why not just keep him? We have no leverage until Dwight pulls a "Melo" and goes to the ORL front office and says I want to go to LAL & won't sign an extension elsewhere (I hope this happens but highly unlikely)

New Orleans is owned by the league now and this would be a bad PR move to put the Hornets in any kind of bad situation (because of Katrina). They're going to do everything to make that franchise stay afloat and hang on to CP3 as long as possible
