Actor Matthew Fox accused of assaulting private bus driver in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 24-year-old Cleveland woman driving a private bus told police that actor Matthew Fox, of "Lost" and "Party of Five," punched her in the chest and stomach early Saturday morning when she blocked him from getting on the chartered vehicle.

Heather Bormann, who drives for Ohio Connection, told police that Fox approached the bus about 1:30 a.m. outside the Silk Nightclub at Main Avenue and Old River Road and asked for a ride to his hotel. He's in town for the filming of "I, Alex Cross."

She explained that the bus was rented and he could not board, but Fox stepped forward, so she blocked the entrance, according to the police report.

Bormann reportedly told TMZ.com; "He just kept staring at me with his mouth wide open and not saying anything. I told him, 'You have to leave buddy. You are trespassing on my bus'" ... then Fox "leaned in and started punching my crotch and breast."


According to the police report, Bormann said Fox punched her in the chest and stomach and she "swung back and punched (him) in the mouth, causing a cut on his lip." She did not answer her phone early this afternoon.

A 24-year-old Lakewood man witnessed the incident and told police that he tried to help Bormann. He could not be reached for comment.

Bormann told police that she thought her hand may have been broken by the punch and she would seek medical attention.

Fox, who was detained briefly, refused medical treatment and was released to a friend. They took a taxi to his hotel. Officers told Bormann to go to the City Prosecutor's Office to file a complaint.
