You know its funny, i just read this on espn and i really just wanted to vomit..... how can people defend this dummy... the only reason he wanted to come to LA and play was for this reason... to be seen and heard. How was he better for the team? Please someone explain this to me?

I guess NBA players can't have lives now. They're supposed to abandon life and family, live in the El Segundo facility, not sleep or eat.

i dont see a problem with this to be honest, a comedy tour is more respectable than a reality show *cough* lamar *cough*

but in both cases, thats off court life..w.e as long as he's not gettin in trouble with the law

Like I said in the other topic. We can't tell if these various off the court things are having a direct effect on their performances. So, we shouldn't get mad every time we hear about a player having an off-the-court interest because everybody has lives outside of their careers. I think we would all like to hear the players are putting in more work into improving their game. But, we don't know their schedules. If they can do both, it's fine. They may be doing this instead of just hanging around.

A life off the court, He should be practicing his F88king jumper and stop playing it up like he is some gym rat. I really dont see Kobe doing trash like this, do you know why? Kobe is preparing himself for battle next season, and Kobe isnt a Whore like Ron and Lamar.

Overreaction by fans again.

Ron Artest does have a life off the court and he can do what he pleases. He is a gym rat as KOBE is the one that even praised Ron for being at the gym early when he's there, so there goes your argument.

I guess when Kobe takes his kids to Disneyland during the Summer (like he always does), that will mean he is not focused right?

NBA players are on the road from September until May/June. Who are we to criticize what they do in their down time? As long as this stuff is not going on in season, I don't really care.

I thought this season's performance was his comedy tour.

I do not care what players do in the off-season (but of course it has to be legal ). I do hope Artest does put in time in his game though, especially in his shooting game. But when the season starts, you are EXPECTED by the coaching staff and FO to be prepared and ready to play.

I'm very good at my profession, know why? I dedicate most of my time to my craft and making it better,
I'm not the Kobe Bryant of growing herb yet but someday I will be because of that dedication.

Ron Artest is what we call a jack of all trades, and a master of NONE.

All those people that support Ron, power too you; and the special olympics.
