They won't get a player like Lebron in this draft, but they can pick up a good rookie to help with the rebuilding process

2 of the top 4 picks will help...
Meanwhile, UTAH snaging the 3rd spot will help them too...

It is a weak draft, but, lets see what happens...

They had a 2% chance to get the number one draft pick. They weren't really dumb, but extremely unlucky. There is a difference.Clippers are dumb as hell for including that in the deal. Could have had Kyrie Irving from this years draft...

Mainly to get rid of BAron's bad contract and they figured not to get an impact player in this draft with those long shot draft odds. Cavs wouldn't do that deal if not for the pick. Why would they even package a lotto pick in that deal? Makes no sense. Mo Williams isn't THAT valuable.

They would've owed Baron a total of $28.8 million these next two years (just two seasons left). Now they owe Mo Williams a total of $26.3 million over three years (because he'll take his player option). Not much of a difference. I'd rather keep Baron, because Mo holds you down for three seasons, instead of two, and the trade wasn't worth sending the lotto pick with it.Mainly to get rid of BAron's bad contract and they figured not to get an impact player in this draft with those long shot draft odds. Mo is a much better fit and better player than Baron especially with the clips and gives them better flexibility financially as the money is spread over 3 years. They would've owed Baron a total of $28.8 million these next two years (just two seasons left).
