The meatier part of the leak though includes a detailed synopsis of the plot, which we're not going to spoil here. The short story though is that the game starts just minutes after the end of Modern Warfare 2, as Russia continues its attack on the US and something very close to World War III breaks out.

The game will contain around 15 separate missions, switching between multiple characters and countries - as implied by the trailers. You'll get to play as a SAS soldier, Russian Federal Protective Services agent (a sort of modern day KGB equivalent), tank gunner and an AC-130 gunner.

There also seems to be mention of 'SEAL Team Six', suggesting that Activision is going to be taking full advantage of the group's new found fame following the killing of Osama bin Laden.

The multiplayer is described as having a 'chunky' list of around 20 playable maps, as well as two types of Spec Ops co-operative modes: Survival and Mission.

*There are trailers for France, England and Germany in the link above*

That shouldn't even be considered a teaser. WTF was that? Don't start releasing this kinda stuff unless you want the hardcore gamers to already start hating the game.

I'm not a hardcore FPS gamer, but I can say that I hated black ops and loved MW2. If MW2 had zombies, I probably would still be playing.

Infinity Ward is way better than Treyarch IMO, but both are great at the COD series. They always make the current COD game one of the top, if not the top FPS game to own.

Hope they don't disappoint.

Maybe you are right, because I heard a while ago from my cousin that Infinity Ward was kicked off the COD team.

Not an entirely a credible source ya dig? (my cousin gets more drunk than 'Nikolai')

hope everyone enjoys paying a monthly fee

Activision Blizzard Inc. plans to launch an online service called Call of Duty Elite this fall that will work with the next major edition of the game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," and future installments of the hyper-realistic combat-simulation game. In a move industry executives describe as a first, Activision plans to charge a monthly subscription fee for the service, which will provide extra content that isn't offered on game discs sold in stores, including downloadable map packs that give players new "Call of Duty" levels to play.

Activision executives said they haven't yet figured out how much to charge for the service, but they expect the cost to be less than fees for comparable online-entertainment services, such as a $7.99-a-month Netflix Inc. movie subscription. Portions of the service will be free, including features inspired by Facebook Inc. that will let "Call of Duty" players meet for online gun battles with others who share various affiliations and interests.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was known to be in development after a legal dispute between Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella and Activision resulted in the pair being fired from the company. Several Infinity Ward employees followed West and Zampella as a result of the ongoing dispute, causing Activision to enlist the services of Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to assist development of the title.

This new Call of Duty could be weird, because the above makes it sound like infinity ward started to develop it then walked out
on the project because of Activision and then Activision hired Sledge and Raven soft to finish it up.

Damn no updates in a long time.

I made this site to try and get some more experience into web design and to see if I couldn't generate some hits for the Christmas season.

Buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

If you click on a game it'll take you to Amazon to purchase it. I do get a small commission from that sale. I'm just trying to branch out and do my own thing aside from my normal job and this is something I've always been interested in.

You get release date delivery and I think they still have a promotion where you get $10 off a new set of new edition Turtle Beach Headsets.

Just figured I'd share it if anyone wanted to help :P
