Plus, who knows what's going to happen in the other two series in the conference? Denver is going to OKC, but they've shown that they can keep it close. The Spurs could fight back and make it a six or seven-game series.
All of these competitive games only help us, as long as we aren't participating in them ourselves. If we win Game 6, we take a break and get the privilege of watching these guys battle it out.
If the Spurs and Nuggets win tonight, we have a chance to be the first West team to advance to the second round, and that could be huge for Kobe (injury) and Gasol (no idea), two guys that need the rest more than anyone else on this team.

The Lakers have been always a great closing team on the road. We've won series on the road the last three postseasons in Denver x2, Utah x2, Orlando, Oklahoma City and Phoenix, so I expect another closeout win for the Lakers.
