Why do the Lions need another DT? worse pick of the century

Fairley is really talented despite all the off field issues. He was the biggest impact player on the board so the Lions took him. I still would have taken Prince if I was them, I don't even know who their starting db's are.

Hoping Ingram won't be a stud(but he will), because we coulda had him. Props to NO for trading(Gave up a future 1st) to get their man. Pats rape most in the draft(GB raped the Pats to pick Matthews).

First of all, Cam Newton is bigger and much harder to tackle than Vince Young. Second, Cam Newton can actually throw the ball fairly well.

If Newton can be compared to Vince Young, he can also be compared to Mike Vick, only bigger...or JaMarcus Russell, pre-draft.

Really, there's no point. There's a lot of potential there. It all depends on how he uses it. Vick got out of prison and decided he was going to work on his passing game, and he surprised everyone by throwing the ball far better, and more consistently, than we could've imagined.

By the way, I hope to God that the Raiders pick up a QB with their first pick in the second round. Ryan Mallett is there. Andy Dalton is there. I don't care what we are built to do...we need a QB.

I'm going to assume we'll be drafting the fastest player available, as always. Either that, or the fastest player at a particular position of need.

Wouldn't be surprised if Al Davis decides to base it all on QB's 40's and see how fast they can get up and down the field.

What are your feelings as far as Aso goes? Al Davis could end up drafting Aaron Williams out of Texas and/or Brandon Harris out of the U to replace Aso if he ends up leaving via FA. Now, if the Raiders end up getting one of those two (or both) and Ryan Mallett...that would be pretty good.

but i am happy with the packers picks an offensive lineman who is good, and i am happy about Randall Cobb dude is going to be sick as hell!!

well, it's obvious what we're doing: last year, we drafted two DTs with our first two picks (mccoy and price) and this year so far we've drafted two DEs with our first two picks (Clayborn and Bowers). So, I'm feeling pretty good about those picks because for one...I like good defenses and bowers could be a HUGE steal if his health pans out. I do think we need more explosiveness on the offensive side of the ball however.

I just found out about this today.
I dont follow much college but even I have heard of JJ.
Matt Ryan is gonna have a field day with probably the best receiving core in the league. Defenses are gonna have a tough time.
