Amazing. If I remember right this was the year Dallas went to the finals as well.... If he could've played the 4th I think he would've passed 81.

The game before this, lakers lost to rockets by 2 and Kobe scored 24 in that game. And kobe regreted that he didn't guard tmac in the last minutes of the game. And now kobe was so mad at himself and wanted to prove himself.

Kobe scored 32 in the first half and wen I saw the box score, I knew its going be a huge night for Kobe. By end of 3, Kobe scored 30 (tied for most scored in lakers history in a quarter and 3rd in the NBA) plus he outscored the mavs by him self Kobe 62 - mavs 61. LOL. Kobe was unselfish when Phil Jackson asked him if he wants to go in the 4. And lakers were up by 25+. Even tho he had 0 assist. His reaponce to the 4 quarter shows a good example. Everyone were speechless after this game.. I remember going to school (grade 9) no one had words for his performance.

P.S. Kobe loves to play epic against the Mavs. 10 days before this game, he scored 43 with a game winner ;)

Can you imagine if we had this current nucleus at the time when Kobe was doing this....or even have that ability where he could get to the line anytime, elevate over people and get by people easily? these things dont happen anymore, instead Kobe is taking 35 foot shots.

Kobe shot at very long range in whole career. When he feels good. He will take it. That's what pure shooters are. And Kobe still has the attack mode no matter what age and season he's playing. He still can get the 50+ points right now if he wants too

Man, even if Kobe just hadn't gotten injured, he probably would be that badass #8 right now too.

When he's asked why Kobe doesn't tweet, @thugraider37 said he offers this reply: "Does God tweet?"

Oh, he definitely would have passed it. If the game was close, he stays in for at least another 10 minutes. The way he was going, he could have hit 90 IMO.

He outscored Dallas as a team by himself at the end of 3 quarters. That is absolutely ridiculous. Like urkel said, it would have been great if this Kobe had the talent that he has around him today.
