As time passes, many new Lakers fans will not have the pleasure to have heard Chick Hearn, the greatest sports broadcaster of all time, call a Lakers game. Seasons the Celtics lost ECF when Lakers won the championship (7): 1953, 1954, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1988, 2002
In NBA history, the Lakers have finished better than the Celtics by a margin of 39-24!

He did his last game in 2002. I loved Chick because he always was truthful and gave it to the Lakers whenever they played bad. Him and Stu were never biased and the best commentators of all time, IMO.

i didn't get the privilege to hear chick hearn alot. but the few times i did, he was great. wish i could hear every game he called.

Pretty sure unfortunately there's no clip of it, but I'll always remember when J.R. Rider & Devean George were both rocking some purple or gold headband for a game (pretty sure it was purple) and Stu said something like, Look at em' Stu, they look stupid (laughing). What were these idiots thinking? Stu just stayed quiet, but my Father and I got a major chuckle out of it and were surprised.
