I agree. You understand the game.I stand with my prediction right here ^
CP3 had 33 points 14 assists 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
We need to contain him to only scoring. Let him have a 35 point game with like 3-4 assists, and it would be a blowout win.

That's it. You hit the nail on the coffin. On a positive note, lets be honest...the Hornets played the game of their careers. 51% from the floor, only 3 turnovers, hitting ridiculous shots that were contested, Aaron Gray scoring his career high. I would be shocked if they're able to continue this over the course of a 7 game series.
The Lakers will have a complete practice just to adjust to the Hornets motion offense, and they'll stop switching on every screen.
Staying confident.

damn thats pretty high. we need to step it up BIG time if we want to win. I think we can win in 6 if we bring our game.

Thats an inflated stat though because favorites win game 1 most of the time.
The 21% is usually the favorites who lose game 1 and wake up
Hopefully the lakers wake up

Yes I think so, but what is the percentage of a team that is a 7th seed that wins the first game of the series in the first round. I bet it is under 50 for sure.whats the percentage of the team that wins game one winning the whole series? its like 80 something % right?

Pau Gasol thought he was Dirk Nowitzki today. Was not playing Gasol basketball. I'm sick and tired of seeing this guy on the perimeter instead of the post. Bynum played ok, but foul trouble hurt him.
Odom showed up wayyyyyy too late, and Gasol was a 7 foot Luke Walton today.
Gets it. Maybe people should quit going OMG THE HORNETS WERE UNBELIEVABLE and look at what the Lakers did wrong. How many points in the paint did the Hornets have today? How many times did a guy cut and get into the paint with zero resistance? How about the numerous times they switched and we were left with AWFUL matchups?
If the Lakers don't play smart defense, or offense for that matter, losses like these happen to this team. It's not uncommon.
This isn't taking into account the no-show by Pau Gasol either. Way to be aggressive in the final minute with that quick move and finish. Perfect timing.

Our defense. There aren't going to be many turnovers when our defense is that awful.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. Who knows though. How many wake up calls do we need? Maybe we just don't have it?

Exactly that percentage takes into account every series which means all of the favorites who win game 1
