We need to contain him to only scoring. Let him have a 35 point game with like 3-4 assists, and it would be a blowout win.

People expect to be able to handle a team without its second best player (David West) at home, what do you think? Is that asking too much?

This series should have been a sweep. We swept them in the regular season and maybe the Lakers were overly confident coming in. The Lakers never showed up (except for Kobe of course), but Pau, Odom, & Barnes were especially disappointing. Artest played better than normal, I was satisfied with Drew, and Brown didn't do screw up as much as he normally does... but that just won't do it even against an inferior team. The Hornets really played free, like they had nothing to lose and the Lakers acted like they already had this in the bag.

WAKE UP LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still believe we can win the title but only if you wake the f up NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. You have to give him one or the other. Not both. Let him get double digit assists or double digit points. That's how Phil usually plans to guard Steve Nash.

New Orleans looked great on offense. Chris Paul with a sensational game, and Jack, Landry, Gray played well too. I don't think New Orleans can play any better.

I expect a better effort in game 2 from the Lakers. Gasol will establish himself in the post early. This should be 1-1 by Friday.

On a positive note, lets be honest...the Hornets played the game of their careers. 51% from the floor, only 3 turnovers, hitting ridiculous shots that were contested, Aaron Gray scoring his career high. I would be shocked if they're able to continue this over the course of a 7 game series.

Why is Pau such an unaggressive piece of [expletive] every other game? He was god awful today. I knew it was going to be bad when I saw him floating around the elbow with Bynum on the bench. I was hoping that bump with Mbenga would wake him up, but no luck. Straight garbage today on both ends of the floor, and the biggest reason we lost this game.

Hornets played flawless, really nothing to it. Combine that with the shiity-ness that was Pau gasol, sprinkle in some pusssy-itis that bench always brings, and you get a recipe for a loss.
