I grew up watching wrestling back when the "Attitude era" had just begun and until it ended. Edge is one of the most entertaining wrestlers in the business and it just makes me sad he had to go out this way.

Sucks. Edge was one who could do it all(mic skills, ring skills). One of the greatest heels OAT.

Mr. TLC AKA Mr. Money in the Bank.

Rated R superstar

Will be sorely missed.

I remember watching Edge from way back in the day, right when he started what was then called the WWF. He's a hell of a wrestler and he's right, there's no better time to go out than when you're on top. I wish him all the best.

Damn. I remember watching him and the rest of the WWF back in '98 when I was in 8th grade. Good times.

man, just when WWE needed a great heel Edge retires. One of the best wrestlers of all time, he can do literally everything. He made Cena for what he is today(TLC match, FU from the top ladder). Mic and ring skills.

Haha...I think Edge is a good wrestler, has good mic skills, and performs pretty well in any storyline he's stuck in...but I don't see how he's able to win more WWF/WWE championships than anyone in the business. That's partially why I feel like the titles have decreased in value a bit, and why some have lost interest in wrestling altogether.

yea, sad how there's like 20 titles now and they just throw them around to people like the miz...i watched wrestlmania, and obviously this is based on only one match, but i don't see this guy as chamionship material....in the "attitude" era, he MIGHT have been intercontinental championship material if anything...

i remember how long it took mankind to get a title, or how triple H and the rock worked their way up through different characters and groups for a few years before sniffing the belt. how the hell did miz get the belt before i even knew he existed?

i liked edge though, think he started getting titles right around the time i stopped watching

I remember that. So freakin' awesome. Absolutely respect this guy. That video OP posted was great to watch (as far as his humbleness and reminiscing on good times). Edge was the man.

Believe it or not the Miz has paid his dues(worked from the bottom up). I didn't care for the guy but he has changed my opinion(over time). In ring is getting tighter, his mic work is some of the best right now. I was one of the fans that wanted change, that's what we got with Miz.

Now if only we could get out of this PG era. :eh:
