http://www.nbadraft.net/2011mock_draft

41 *LA Lakers Greg Smith 6-10 249 PF/C Fresno St. Sophomore
46 *LA Lakers Gary Flowers 6-8 214 SF Southern Miss. Sophomore
56 *LA Lakers Matthew Bryan-Amaning...6-8 227 PF Washington Senior
58 LA Lakers Malcolm Thomas 6-9 220 PF San Diego St. Senior

We could really use a point guard but there's not a whole lot out there better than Fisher and Blake in the 2nd rounds

Probably one of the weakest drafts ever. The big name guys aren't exactly all star caliber which is what you'd want if you're top 14 lottery team

Jacob Pullen will be a second-rounder. He's a point that has been having trouble actually playing the position at K-State (as far as creating for others goes, he's not CP3 or Nash), but the triangle would welcome a combo guard that can hit shots, and that's Pullen. He's not the best defender, but he doesn't give up on plays and isn't a weak player.

We haven't had a facilitating point in forever. When was the last time we had a scoring point? It's been a while for both.

Lakers need to draft PG and SG depth.

They should NOT draft another SF, no matter what.
A project big man is fine.

Maybe an unknown African or something... Like in the Serge Ibaka mold.

Not happy with the future of the PG or backup SG position. Should target those areas also I would like us to ditch the triangle if Phil leaves. Wanna see a more free offense...

Malcolm Thomas is a Aldridge type PF. He has a very underrated player. Still, I want a pg that has the ability to make plays and penetrate.

I want to see the full list of whose entering the draft before I make any decisions. It feels like all the top picks will be guards, and all the higher picks will be big men.

Hopefully we can be like the Spurs and pull someone miraculously out of the 2nd round and get a nice defensive point guard who can pass and score when given the option to.

Lakers should trade all their second round picks for 1 first round pick. Preferably Clevelands 8th pick? They obviously wouldn't give away their 1st pick. But if the Lakers are to obtain a first round pick, and get Kemba Walker or Kyrie Erving, I would be very happy.

Yes, I would like to see Lakers run a more quick tempo oriented offense. The players and scheme went hand in hand. You telling me they can only win in the Triangle? Every championship team doesn't run a triangle offense. Not seeing how thats blasphemy. Anyway we could use a couple bangers in the paint as well..

Here is the problem with what you want. This current Lakers group is put together to run the triangle offense. As exciting as it may be to run a quick tempo offense, our squad cannot do that. Kobe and Gasol are not getting younger, Bynum's injury chances may go up in a quicker offense because it would put more strain on his knees. As of right now, Odom/Brown/Blake/Barnes are the only players that can thrive in that offense.

With Brian Shaw being the likely candidate for the next Lakers coach, the triangle will still be run for another 2-3 years. Once Kobe retires and the Lakers get another star, then at that time a change to the offense may be likely if Shaw isn't around by then.

This team is best running the triangle with our current personnel.

This. If Malcolm Lee falls to 41, we should pick him up.
