I'm not sure monthly would work. But I think it would work to put out the awards as follows:
Summer league awards (For the summer)
First half NBA regular season awards (Up until the all-star break)
Second half NBA regular season (After the all-star break)
Post-season awards (playoffs)
Awards for members
