How about we have TLN awards for the members of the forum? There could be different categories with voting as well.

I thought about yearly awards. Are you talking monthly? I'm not sure how many people would be engaged to it each month, but it's something I can definitely consider.

People suggested this idea a few times in the past, but it was rejected because the members were not mature enough to be able to give awards out without drama. It only becomes a popularity contest and people feel left out.

We could have a panel so that there is no bias for awards & i was thinking of a yearly thing but monthly would be cool too. Maybe have major awards as a yearly but have smaller ones like poster of the month, contributor of the month etc for month to month

Brandon should just come up with 10 categories or around there. They can be basketball related too, like TLN All-First Team, Second Team, and Third Team, or MVP of the Year.
We can even do Funniest Member of the Year, Underrated Member of the Year, and Debater of the Year. Stuff like that would be fun.

Yeah, the idea would be to make them basketball-related (I've done this a couple of years on OTR), and what I'll probably do is go ahead and put up the forum and base all of the current awards on the first three years of TLN.Brandon should just come up with 10 categories or around there. They can be basketball related too, like TLN All-First Team, Second Team, and Third Team, or MVP of the Year.

i'd say at most twice a year...or maybe something like off-season awards, and season awards..for example...or, i guess we could live with "1st half season(pre all-star), 2nd half season(post all-star/post-season), and off season awards...
often enough to keep people interested, assuming there's enough interest to begin, but not too much...every month would be way to often to do anything...like that award in kindergarten that everyone eventually gets
on a side note, wow, i just learned that its kindergarten, not kindergarDen...i have a college degree, and i'm great w/ english...how the hell did i miss that for so long?
