Hey, was wondering what program you guys used to make your animated gifs (and at reasonable sizes too...)?

I've seen 123 AVI to GIF, and Video-AVI to GIF-JPEG, but those both don't work too well.

1. Open movie file with photoshop

2. Click Windows Menu > Animation

2A. Crop to size you want

3. Move sliders to select section of video to play

4. File > Save for Web and Devices

5. Choose your conversion, and make sure you select loop forever.

6. File format .gif

Finally got PSCS5 after losing it, when I got a new computer. But when I do this, I get:

Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document

I got the vid off youtube from keepvid.com, making it a mp4 file.

PS also accepts avi files...

wat i usually do wen i make gifs is, i first DL a clip of YT or w/e, the convert it to wmv file type, then i load the video up into windows movie maker, chopping up the video into the exact frames i want..then i save the edited clip as an avi file

Posted Image

then i load tht avi file into PS using the import video option

and save it as a gif using the same steps Draztik Rhymez posted ..this process is really fast and prob takes me only 10-15mins
