Congrats to the Phillies. Very good team. They were the one team I was cautious about playing before the playoffs started. They played better then us, plain and simple. Again congrats.
We have a very good young team fella's. Martin, Loney, Kemp, Ethier plus pitchers Kershaw, Bills, Broxton, and McDonald who I have been waiting to see in a Dodger uniform. Plus Elbert who will be on the staff next year.
It sucks that we fell short, but I have confidence we will see the boys in blue back in contention next year!!
Go Dodgers!!!!

they can just plug him in at DH
Manny gets the spotlight in the big city
Manny gets his ultimate revenge against Boston
Manny gets to play for a winner where he can loosen the clubhouse and Joe Girardi is a fantastic player friendly coach
I would be shocked if Manny isn't in a Yankees uniform when next year starts

I think it will be between the Yankees and Dodgers. New York is gonna try and make a HUGE SPLASH this year in free agency. After a disappointing season, they will certainly try to get back to money ball.
A lineup of Jeter, Abreu, Rodriguez and Ramirez? OMG that is just scary.

the size of his contract doesn't worry me I think 2 years $40 million is just right for him but he wants at least a 4 or 5 year deal and as an NL team I don't think we can offer that to an aging player. Also..like it or not, he's still a huge liability defensively.

Dodgers Free Agents (Prediction):
Garciaparra (One year deal)
Kent (Retired)
Furcal (Possible 2 year deal, incentives due to health)
Blake (2 year deal)
Ramirez (Dodgers offer 4 year, 90 million deal)
Lowe (Not brought back)
Maddux (Retire, Special Pitching Coach for Dodgers)
Beimel (2/3 year deal)
That is a great veteran presence that are all on the verge of leaving. The Dodgers have some big time holes to feel because only 3 or 4 of those guys will be coming back.
So with Lowe possibly leaving, the Dodgers would have to go looking for a Ace unless they are set with Bills as the Ace next season. Then the Dodgers would go looking for a #2 or #3 type pitcher.
Possible pitchers for Dodgers:
Sabathia
Burnett
Garland
Sheets
Clement
Fogg
It's going to be a interesting off season, Colletti has some work to do.
Go Dodgers!!!!

Eff Furcal. He can't stay healthy.
Well who do you want to play short? You want Hu there so we can have a SS who hits .050 an entire season?
